Your role will be supporting the Year-Round and Championships Food & Drink (F&D) planning, communication, delivery and debrief.
What you will be doing
- Serve as the main F&D contact for both year-round and Championships operations at Raynes Park (Official Practice) and Roehampton (Qualifying). This involves collaborating with key stakeholders, managing external events, handling administrative duties, and contributing to strategic planning.
- Oversee year-round F&D operations at the Grounds for visitors outside The Championships, plan strategies to enhance both public and colleague experiences, and represent F&D in the Year-Round Working Group.
- At the beginning of each month, review and update the F&D annual planner and communicate all relevant information to colleagues and key stakeholders. Ensure integrated planning so that F&D operations align seamlessly with the broader AELTC readiness programme.
- Work with the AELTC digital team to ensure the maintenance and evolution on the F&D website and digital presence on wimbledon.com.
- Collaborate with the wider Operations team to integrate planning and delivery whilst balancing heritage and driving innovation.
- Coordinate the year-round and Championships colleague dining offering. Liaise between the AELTC and Compass to regularly review the offer and operational processes, in addition to maintaining the delivery of the SLA. Ensure the offering aligns with the AELTC’s sustainability initiatives and where possible support other business initiatives i.e., diversity and inclusion activations. Our people are passionate about their food, and you'll have the responsibility for offering input on complex service and delivery issues.
- Review spaces and operations across the wide range of dining categories and guest segments to ensure the successful delivery of our F&D offering. You will have a particular focus on Public, Colleague and Hospitality guest segments.
- Support the Senior Food & Drink Manager with high-level key business discussions around contract group KPI’s and annual F&D Budget considerations.
- Stay abreast of trends across not only events, but the F&D industry more broadly including event technology and the hospitality sector.
- You will work with stakeholders at different levels of seniority, attending and leading meetings with colleagues and partners. You'll also be responsible for taking minutes and ensuring key stakeholders meet agreed deadlines. Regular progress updates to the business will be required to help deliver the overall F&D strategy.
About you
- You understand and have 2-3 years’ experience of working in the F&D and/or event industry.
- You’ll have back of house or operational experience in an event environment, or large F&D operation is preferred.
- Able to demonstrate an understanding and passion about detail and delivery of quality experiences.
- You’re solutions-focused, able to resolve challenges and issues with straightforward, easy to implement ideas.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and with multiple stakeholders.
- Skilled communicator and presenter, with strong written and interpersonal abilities.
- Excellent relationship builder, confident engaging with stakeholders at all levels including senior leadership and boards.
- Passionate, proactive, and a can-do attitude.
- You have strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities, especially during peak periods.
- Proficient with Microsoft 365 (Microsoft Office).
Other Information
- Some weekend and evening work requirements will be required. In the lead up to and during The Championships, long working hours and additional days will be needed.
