Collected Information

2.2          To register with the Online Recruitment Service, you are required to provide some personal information, including but not limited to your first name, surname, email address, and home address.

2.3          To apply for a vacancy, you will be asked to provide additional personal information using the online application form. The information requested will depend on the vacancy you are applying for, and will typically include contact details, qualifications, appropriate training, employment history, reference details and equality and diversity monitoring information.

2.4          You will be asked to provide some personal information, which is defined by UK data protection legislation as special category data. This may include, for example, information about your ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation and disability status. This data is solely collected to support AELTC’s equal opportunities monitoring.

2.5          You may be asked to declare any unspent criminal convictions and/or cautions to assess your suitability for employment. The nature of the conviction and its relevance to the post will be given due consideration.

2.6          To submit an application, you must complete and submit certain mandatory information, which will be clearly identified throughout the application form.

How we use collected information

2.7          Until a completed application is submitted to AELTC, any information entered using the Online Recruitment Service application form will not be made accessible to anyone, and will be retained for the sole purpose of enabling you to complete your application for a vacancy in the future. Your registered email address will only be used to contact you with any important information regarding the application process or vacancies, such as job alerts, where you have registered for this service.

2.8          In accordance with our Privacy Policy, AELTC reserves the right to review any registration records in the Online Recruitment Service’s system and, periodically, remove records where no recent application has been made. Where this applies, you will be required to complete registration to the service again.

2.9          Once you have submitted an application, the information supplied in your application will become part of the information that is used to assess your suitability for the vacancy. AELTC may contact you for further supporting information regarding your application.

2.10       Note that the information collected in the equal opportunities monitoring section does not form part of the overall assessment of your application. It will not be shared with anyone with responsibility for the selection process. It will be used solely to monitor the effectiveness of AELTC’s equal opportunities monitoring process.

2.11       Your personal information will be held securely in accordance with UK data protection legislation. The data may be shared with any appropriate AELTC affiliated companies. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for further details.
