Job description

We are looking to recruit a variety of people into both guest-facing and operational roles for Wimbledon 2026 working across all our official venues: the practice courts at Raynes Park, Qualifying Competition at Roehampton, and The Championships at The All England Lawn Tennis Club. Please read below for descriptions of the roles available this year.

Important Information

  • You must be available to work all 14 days of The Championships (Monday 29 June to Sunday 12 July 2026)
  • Many of our teams start earlier (see descriptions below); if you are interested in a role with an extended period of employment, you can indicate your availability in your application.
  • You will be required to attend an induction on site prior to your start date. Training dates will depend on the role.
  • You must be 18 years or older before the start of employment and have the right to work in the UK.
  • If you are successfully shortlisted, in-person Assessment Centres take place between Thursday 19 and Saturday 28 February at The All England Lawn Tennis Club. Please note that this year we are unable to facilitate any online interviews.

What will you be doing?

This year we have vacancies in the following teams:

Guest-Facing

The Retail team is made up of over 350 staff spread across four major outlets and seven express shops around the grounds. Retail Assistants are based on the shop floor providing excellent levels of customer service, assisting guests to find the products they are looking for and processing payments on the tills. Stockroom Assistants work within a stock room environment to ensure sufficient flow of product to the shop floors and assisting with intake of deliveries each day.

Guest Services Hosts are responsible for supporting and guiding guests at The Championships. Guest Services is made up of a number of sub teams located across the site. In Wimbledon Park, the team look after guests in The Queue. At the Gates, hosts welcome ticketholders as they arrive and scan tickets on entry. The Information team answer queries and provide directions at information points within the Grounds. The Ticket Resale team organize the ticket resale process, while Queue Busters help manage and ease queues around the site. New for this year is an Accessibility team, who provide dedicated support for guests with disabilities. Finally we have an Overnight team who work 8pm-8am in Wimbledon Park, looking after guests camping in The Queue (these team members receive an additional £30 night allowance per shift).

The Ticketing team provide guest-facing support to the Ticket Office during The Championships, assisting guests with their ticketing enquiries and troubleshooting issues at Ticket Resolution points, and processing ticket sales to guests entering via the Queue. Strong IT skills are beneficial to administer the online ticketing system and use POS machines.

The Members Services team welcomes AELTC Members and their guests as they arrive at The Championships, answering queries and receiving and storing personal items safely. This role requires discretion and an exceptional level of professional service.

Our Reception team provides a switchboard service before, during and after The Championships, answering and transferring calls, responding to emails, and carrying out other administrative tasks such as sorting post, photocopying and laminating. A pleasant and professional telephone manner is an essential skill for this team. Contracts start on 8 June.

​The Accreditation team provide a facility at the perimeter of the Grounds for the collection, printing and distribution of security passes, so that people who have an operational role can gain entry to the Grounds. Contracts start from 19 June onwards.

Road Closure Liaisons are positioned at road closure points around the perimeter of the grounds, managing and authorising access and guiding guests and local residents, as well as sensitively declining access to unauthorised persons. This is a team with important responsibility, liaising with the Event Control Room on any safety and security matters that arise on the approach to The Championships.

Court Services & Grounds

Court Services are responsible for maintaining high standards on the courts across all our venues and a team of over 300 are divided into teams and assigned to a particular court. Each team is responsible for covering and uncovering their court, checking the playing surface and edges of court for wet areas after rain, sweeping base lines, and ensuring the court side area is always presentable. Other responsibilities include delivering towels, ice, balls and drinks for players, and emptying the courtside bins. A good level of fitness is required to pull the court covers which are very heavy. Contract lengths vary and start from 25 May onwards.

Seasonal Groundstaff support the year-round Groundstaff team to maintain the tennis courts and prepare them for The Championships, working outdoors and often lifting and carrying heavy loads. A driving licence is essential to be able to drive buggies around the Grounds. This is an extended role from April to October.

Seasonal Gardeners support the Horticulture team to maintain the landscaping around the Grounds, adding up to 28,000 additional plants to enhance the site for The Championships.  A driving licence is essential to be able to drive buggies around the Grounds. This is an extended role from April to October.

All roles in the Court Services & Grounds teams work across the three official venues: practice at Raynes Park, Qualifying in Roehampton, and The Championships in Wimbledon.

Ball Distribution Assistants are responsible for providing a professional and reliable ball distribution service, moving the tennis balls around the site, collecting used balls for resale, and restocking ball drums for the next day of play. A good level of fitness is required to lift and move boxes on a regular basis.

Player-Facing

​​We have a number of small teams who provide a first-class service to players and their entourage at the Qualifying Competition in Roehampton, The Championships at the AELTC, and at the official hotels. All of these roles are required to start during the week commencing 15 June.

​For the delivery of our world-class courtesy car service for players and officials: Transport Desk Attendants receive and coordinate booking requests, Fleet Controllers monitor teams of drivers and send them out on jobs, and Load Zone Attendants receive and welcome players and VIPs as they arrive.

Gym & Recovery Facilities Assistants help with setting up and managing the gym facilities at all our venues. Responsibilities include daily maintenance equipment checks, inventory, safe usage, towel management, and implementing health and safety and risk management procedures for all gym users. Candidates should have proven experience within a training/coaching environment; however, this position does not require you to train or coach any players.

Dressing Room Attendants provide a five-star customer service and housekeeping service by welcoming players, taking player requests, running a laundry service, and supporting the Referee's Office to ensure players are ready when matches are called. The team ensure all areas within the dressing rooms and physio areas are cleaned throughout, emptying bins, re-stocking products and toiletries, and vacuuming. The role requires discretion and confidentiality, and successful candidates must be prepared to undertake DBS checks.
