Job description

We're looking for a Head of Brand Partnerships and Hospitality to join us on a 12 month fixed term contract. In this role, you'll manage a team to build partnership relationships and maximise revenues across Wimbledon Official Partners and Hospitality. This includes collaborating with our partners including Rolex, Barclays, Ralph Lauren, AMEX, Jaguar, Lanson, IBM, Evian and many others, and delivery partners including IMG, Keith Prowse, YouGov and Two Circles. 

The role includes managing all acquisition, retention and renewals of our partners and the day-to-day delivery of global activation and Championship specific plans both on and offsite.

 

Brand partnerships

  • Take responsibility for the strategic direction of the partnerships programme and framework including meeting fiscal targets aligned with the wider business strategy and vision
  • Identify new category opportunities and take the lead on new business negotiations with IMG
  • You will have overall responsibility for the management of the partnerships programme of 16 Official Partners and associated revenue
  • Build strong relationships with Official Partners of The Championships and take the lead on the delivery of AELTC Official Partner events through the year
  • You’ll take the lead on all renewal discussions, working with our in-house lawyers to ensure the best value and reduce risk on all contract related matters
  • Provide regular reporting on revenue and profitability, presenting to relevant C-Suite as required 
  • Oversee integrated fulfilment of partnerships both locally, internationally and across the AELTC’s digital platforms
  • Build strong internal relationships with colleagues across Marketing, Broadcast, Operations and more to ensure the effective delivery of the partnerships programme 
  • Continuously seek new revenue and activation opportunities aligned to our business strategy with a close lens on the Environment, Social and Governance goals
  • Provide day to day leadership and management of the Partnerships team, including smooth handover and check ins with your maternity leave counterpart 

 

Hospitality

  • Act as the primary AELTC contact with hospitality partner (Keith Prowse), leading strategic development and delivery of the plans for The 2024 Championships
  • Work with Keith Prowse and key internal stakeholders to develop a longer-term hospitality strategy and best-in-class guest experience and innovation
  • Provide day to day leadership and management of the Hospitality team, budget setting and KPI management 

 

About you

  • Significant experience of building and managing relationships with brand partners with a particular emphasis on account management in sport or entertainment at a senior level
  • An experienced leader with significant experience of people and team management
  • A proven track record in complex negotiations to maximise value and a clear understanding of the commercial aspects of sports sponsorship
  • Relevant experience of strategy and planning complex negotiations and projects, and leading complex, cross-functional workstreams
  • Experience of sound financial and corporate governance practice
  • The ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with a diverse range of people
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to deliver accurate reports and make high level presentations internally and externally

The department has a team of around 50 people working across five different areas, namely Official Partnerships, Media Rights, Hospitality, Retail and Ticketing and sits within a broader Marketing & Commercial team, with the capability to tap into in-house Comms, PR, Creative, Digital and Marketing expertise
