Job description
We are looking to recruit a variety of people into the following Media teams at The Championships: Broadcast, Press, Interview and Photography (job descriptions for each team listed below).

- A keen interest in one of the mentioned media areas
- Previous experience or studies in the fields of media operations, broadcast, journalism, communications, or photography, is desirable
- Good knowledge of tennis
- Excellent communication skills and English language skills (foreign language skills are desirable)
- Ability to work under pressure, and use initiative to resolve queries and solve problems in a busy environment
- Good level of computer literacy, including moderate Excel skills
- Trustworthy, hardworking, and reliable
- Enthusiasm and a positive attitude
Important Information
- Contracts vary in length - please see individual job descriptions below. For all positions you must be available for all 14 days of The Championships (30 June – 13 July 2025).
- You will be required to attend an induction on site on or prior to your start date. Training dates will depend on the role.
- You must be 18 years or older before the start of employment, and have the right to work in the UK.
- If shortlisted, you will be invited to attend an Assessment Centre here at the AELTC in Wimbledon on Thursday 17 April.
What will you be doing?
When you complete your application, you will be asked to indicate which position you would like to be considered for:
Broadcast Assistant
- Escorting TV crews for shoots around the Grounds. Supervising shoots and ensuring broadcasters achieve the material that they require.
- Making sure broadcasters follow AELTC policies and procedures while around the Grounds, ensuring a safe operation of camera crews around the Grounds.
- Support with daily checks of the Broadcast Centre and broadcast commentary boxes.
- Working on the Broadcast Reception, Bookings and Accreditation desks on a rota basis.
- Providing information and answering Broadcaster questions where appropriate.
- General ‘runner’ duties for the two Wimbledon Broadcast Services Production galleries – to include distributing scripts, collecting information, running errands.
- Keep the Broadcast tea & coffee station welfare area in the yard stocked, clean and tidy.
- This position starts on Friday 20 June through to Wednesday 16 July. Training is included within this timeframe.
Press Assistant
- Providing customer service at the reception desk of the Press Centre for all enquiries.
- Dealing with a multitude of media queries from around 500 international media, referring to senior staff as necessary.
- Issuing press accreditations, press packs and temporary access passes.
- Taking deposits / payments for padlocks and keys for lockers / desk drawers.
- Ensuring all information on the front desk and on all floors of the Press Centre is up to date e.g. press conference transcripts.
- Taking part in security checks and ensuring health and safety rules are adhered to.
- Assisting with general office work as required.
- Delivering sundries to colleagues on courts or in commentary boxes.
- This position starts on Friday 20 June through to Sunday 13 July. Training is included within this timeframe.
Interview Coordinator
- Working within the Media Interview Team assisting the existing team members with the players' post-match media activities
- Assisting the Media Interview Team with any administration duties, reception at the Interview Bookings Desk and checking credentials and access.
- Working with the Interview Bookings Team to process media requests for interviews, schedule interviews and assist the team with the management of player interviews.
- Advising different stakeholders, including accredited media and player representatives, of any schedules for press conferences or interviews.
- Ensuring the smooth running of interview schedules.
- Assisting with the event services to ensure that only the agreed media are allowed in the Media Interview Area.
- Assisting with the operation of managing player interviews working with both the media and the players and any additional tasks as set force by the Media Interview Team
- This position starts on Saturday 28 June through to either Wednesday 9 July or Sunday 13 July. Training is included within this timeframe.
Photo Library Assistant
- Assisting the Photo Library Team with processing and assessment of images and the preparation of the Wimbledon Images website.
- Uploading of all digital imagery onto a digital asset management system.
- Carrying out basic keywording duties.
- Fulfilling basic image requests.
- Carrying out ad hoc tasks for the photo library and photo teams
- This role requires a high level of numeracy and accuracy when entering data, and some experience of working in a photo library role would be a bonus.
- This position starts on Monday 19 May through to Friday 18 July. Training is included within this timeframe.
