Job description
We are looking for people with experience in a training/coaching environment to join our Gym team, to assist with the setup and usage of all training and recovery facilities at both the Qualifying Competition and The Championships 2024.
What you will be doing
- Setup, closedown and management of training and recovery areas (daily maintenance equipment checks, equipment inventory, appropriate usage, cleanliness)
- Towel management (usage, counting and collection)
- Engaging with coaching staff and players when required in order to provide advice on equipment usage and any issues that may occur
- Implementing health and safety, risk management and emergency procedures for all gym users
- Daily recording of issues, successes, facility setup, equipment usage, facility numbers (hourly/daily) and H&S.

- Proven experience within a training/coaching environment
- BSc in Exercise or Sports Science, Strength & Conditioning, Sports Rehab or related discipline
- Valid first aid certification, including the use of a defibrillator
- UKSCA accredited, or the ability to obtain
- Experience and knowledge of tennis and training modalities
- Excellent communication and English language skills (foreign language skills are desirable)
- Punctual and diligent with managing a training facility
- Trustworthy, hardworking and reliable
- Strong work ethic and the ability to cope with fluctuating workloads and pressure
- Maximum discretion is required due to the individuals you will be interacting with.
Important Information
This position does not require you to coach / train any competitors during the Qualifying Competition or The Championships.
Contracts vary in length and are between Friday 21 June and Sunday 14 July 2023. Daily shifts will be up to 10 hours long with a rota in place for days off. Flexibility is required in the rare case of additional days due to rain delays.
You will be required to attend an induction on site prior to your start date.
You must be 18 years or older before the start of employment, and have the right to work in the UK.
If shortlisted, you will be invited to attend an Assessment Centre at The All England Lawn Tennis Club, Wimbledon.
A uniform and food allowance is provided.
