Job description
We're looking for an eCommerce Trading Coordinator to ensure all products go live in a timely manner; making sure price, product information and images are all correct. Help maintain the website, and supporting digital touchpoints, to ensure the customer journey is cohesive and delivers a positive experience. Support the eCommerce Manger in delivery of strategic goals through efficient trading of website, to maximise sales opportunities and profit potential.
What you’ll be doing
Site Trading and Merchandising
- Responsible for merchandising site to maximise sales of bestsellers and The Championships priority lines.
- Identify sales opportunities through data analysis, market trends and customer behaviour insights.
- Monitor key metrics such as conversion rates, ATV, traffic sources and user engagement.
- Management of third-party plug ins, across search, merchandising, recommendations, reviews and UGC.
- Provide recommendations for homepage updates and email content focussed on maximising conversion and AOV.
- Identify and execute on opportunities to increase customer account sign-ups.
- Conduct regular site walks to ensure products and categories are appearing correctly.
- Work with eCommerce Coordinator to ensure Campaign products are delivered on time for launch.
- Action regular site walks to ensure all content is up to date. Working with eCommerce Coordinator to raise tickets for any fixes that require development support.
- Understand the product range, target audience and brand direction.
Campaign and Promotion Planning
- Responsible for executing onsite promotional activity in line with trade calendar.
- Accountable for setting up promotions and seasonal launches, as well as looking at upsell and cross sell opportunities.
- Work closely with the eCommerce Manager, creative and audience teams to compile marketing comms to drive sales growth.
- Work with eCommerce Coordinator to manage intake and inform eCommerce Manager of slippages and changes to launch dates. Make recommendations for how to navigate impact to campaign and marketing plans.
- Ensure cohesive messaging and placement of the shop on Wimbledon.com and myWimbledon App.
- Propose appropriate actions to inform marketing calendar and content based on sales performance and stock availability.
- Work with marketing agency to resolve product feed updates and issues required for external commerce channels – Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest.
- Assist with eCommerce photoshoot production and other activity as appropriate.
Content Management & SEO
- Lead on execution of product uploads including copy, imagery, attributes, and meta data.
- Working with eCommerce Coordinator to co-ordinate on goods-in processes.
- Responsible for ensuring all products are live. Working with B&M to ensure products have been shot, have the correct selling price, colour, attributes, description, copy etc.
- Regularly audit all digital touchpoints to ensure content is seasonally relevant.
- Update all evergreen content e.g. About Us, Store Locator, Privacy Policy, Delivery and Returns
- Maintain the Google Profile working with the Museum Shop to update opening and closing times.
- Execute content updates to site navigation, search, categories, filters, product imagery in line with trade plans and marketing calendar.
- Work with eCommerce Manager to develop a comprehensive Content & SEO Strategy. Inclusive of relevant changes to improve site Accessibility.
- Lead on execution of updates to support Content & SEO Strategy. Inclusive of creating content landing pages and optimising meta data.
- Manage all onsite redirects (301s and 302s) and minimise 404 errors.
Customer Service Liaison
- Work with eCommerce Coordinator to resolve customer service queries.
- Work with eCommerce Coordinator to gather feedback from customers that support the wider team in making product and service improvements.
- Work with eCommerce Manager to collate retail requirements to support the development of a loyalty scheme that delivers incremental value and increased retention.
Reporting & Insights
- Regularly monitor, analyse and report on site KPIs.
- Support eCommerce Manager with end of month reporting for Finance and other ad hoc reporting requests.
- Work with eCommerce Co-ordinator to prepare monthly reporting packs. Identifying sales patterns and opportunities to be presented back to the eCommerce Manger and wider team.
- Complete comp-shops of competitors website and marketing activity. Collate findings and present improvement recommendations to eCommerce Manger.
- Complete price analysis to monitor regional price resistance and present findings back to eCommerce Manager.
- Monitor sales, search and behavioural trends using GA and other BI tools. Proactively working to optimise opportunities, improve user experience and navigate potential risks.
- Manage structure and creation of UTM tracking links to ensure accuracy of campaign measurement and traffic acquisition by source.
- Use insights from performance analysis to identify opportunities to develop online exclusive products.
What part your role will play in The Championships
- In addition to the above, the appointee will have specific retail duties given to them in the build-up and duration of The Championships, and irregular or extended hours will need to be worked during this period. These will include;
- Close daily communication with the wider Retail Team
- Liaison with AELTC Digital & Marketing colleagues on the build/test/scheduling of marketing campaigns across push and email.
- Liaison with AELTC Finance Team on any payment gateway issues.
- Supporting the eCommerce Manager in the above and other ad hoc duties as appropriate.
- Work with the chosen agency on identifying and executing paid media campaigns.
- Work with the creative and photography team to identify specific Wimbledon Collection content capture opportunities.
About You
- 3-5 years’ experience in online trade/merchandising for retail apparel company
- High degree of computer literacy in all Microsoft packages (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Experience using design programmes such as Photoshop
- Demonstrable experience of working with a leading ecommerce platform (e.g. Adobe Commerce/Magento, Shopify)
- Experience working with Analytics and Business Intelligence tools (GA4, Tag Manager, Adobe Analytics, Power BI).
- Demonstrates confidence in all communication, both written and verbal. Ability to present and communicate information clearly.
- Basic HTML knowledge preferred
- Agile and results driven, with sales and profit maximisation in mind but not losing focus of customer satisfaction
- Commercially aware with an interest in ecommerce and omni-channel retailing
- Forward thinking – presenting recommendations to resolve along with the potential issue
- Ability to work on own initiative and prioritise. Completes tasks accurately and on time, with strong attention to detail. Strong organisational skills.
