We're looking for a Digital Platforms & Campaigns Manager to manage, implement and drive Wimbledon’s digital communications campaigns strategy across Wimbledon’s digital platforms.

 This is 12 months fixed term maternity cover. 

Wimbledon’s Marketing and Communication (M&C) function aims to create value via brand, audience understanding and growth. A key element of our M&C strategy is focused on our understanding of the Wimbledon ‘Guest’ and through this understanding we are able to build experiences and create better direct relationships with them.  Reporting into the Guest Data, Insight and Engagement Lead but working very closely with most of the business, we are seeking an experienced Digital Channels Manager to join our team to manage and implement our Guest Relationship Programme strategy across Wimbledon’s digital platforms through the management of myWimbledon, our personalised digital experience product.

You’ll be responsible for managing the strategic delivery of year-round and Championships communications to all our known Guest groups in order to drive growth and retention through our DTC platforms. In addition, the candidate will work on how the owned and operated strategies support wider commercial and marketing initiatives through audience growth and bring to life the vision of myWimbledon across the board.

You'll be involved in the following;

  • Develop, shape and deliver the day-to-day delivery of the Guest communications strategy, including supporting all Guest groups with their year-round email communication plans, including, but not limited to Members, Debentures, Retail, Ballot and Ticket holders, Players, Tournament and our Community.

  • Develop and define a roadmap for the proposition of myWimbledon so that we can meaningfully engage with a greater proportion of our global audience and grow commercials.

  • Develop myWimbledon communications with a focus on localisation and personalisation. Utilising different data streams, segmentation criteria and new technologies to execute bespoke experiences for our guests and drive greater loyalty and affinity to the brand.

  • Be responsible for set up and activation of all year-round automated and integrated email and push platform programmes, as required.

  • Working with the Content Lead, ensure that Wimbledon.com is integrated into the communications journey with up-to-date content across the digital ecosystem

  • Identifying opportunities for collation of Guest insight and driving the development and implementation of data capture opportunities through myWimbledon as a platform.

  • Work with our Partners, agencies and freelancers working at The Championships and year-round on design of assets for myWimbledon and all AELTC communications. This may involve working with agencies across territories.

  • The role will be required to work at all levels within the team including curating, building and executing the email campaigns as part of a wider multichannel communications plan for the wider business

  • Work closely with the in-house eCommerce team, marketing and digital teams to help build the email communication plan as part of a wider multichannel campaign for the online shop, delivering best in class Guest experience for our online retail Guests, .com and organic social.

  • Be responsible for reporting on Guest engagement behaviour when required, to assist all areas of the business.

  • Be responsible for and comfortable using data for decision making to help deliver best in class communications and Guest experience.

  • Liaise with colleagues to ensure Guest data, Guest relationships and myWimbledon is considered across all new Guest facing projects.

  • Champion greater accessibility across our digital campaigns.

  • Supporting the Guest Data and Insight Lead in the above and other ad hoc duties.

About You

  • Demonstrable relevant experience (3-5 years) of working in Digital channels and Communications/ Marketing.

  • First class knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office products, CSPs, ESPs, ideally Acoustic and/or IBM suite. Basic HTML knowledge preferred.

  • Experience of building and executing highly personalised multi-channel platform campaigns (including email, SMS and push) and developing and delivering audience segmentation to personalise content and communications.

  • Experience working with digital content management systems and insight and survey platforms

  • The ability to prioritise, organise your own workload, whilst managing multiple agencies, across a number of territories.

  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills and a basic understanding of GDPR and PECR and/or desire to learn

  • Data savvy, with a strong understanding of email build, using dynamic content and relational tables

  • Understanding and ability to read Data and technical infrastructure diagrams

  • Enthusiasm and knowledge for tennis and/or sport
