Job description
We are looking for a Computer Support Specialist to join our Technology team.
What you will be doing
- Provide technical design and support for all aspects of end user computing. This includes but is not limited to;
- Full administration of the Office 365 application stack, specifically Endpoint Manager (Intune)Outlook, OneDrive, Teams and SharePoint
- Hardware platforms including desktops, laptops, iPads, iPhones, printers and scanners
- Work closely with the existing team to further develop and improve the standard operating environment ensuring all O/S versions, updates and security patches are tested and deployed with no user impact.
- Support home workers and remote working for staff and the Board using tools like Microsoft’s Intune and Teams, VNC, and Cisco VPN.
- Administration of user accounts via Active Directory and Entra ID (Azure AD)
- Further develop and support existing collaborative working platforms, to ensure we remain current with collaborative innovations.
- Build packaged applications for deployment using Microsoft InTune and Scappman.
- Design technical Runbooks and Acceptance Criteria for existing and new technologies.
- Log via Freshworks, troubleshoot and resolve end user technology incidents and ensure they’re kept informed throughout the incident lifecycle until resolution.
- Design and build Intune compliance and Group Policies across the AELTC computing platform. Ensure all processes and procedures are maintained and updated in line with ISO standards.
- Support the Compliance team as required in all compliance matters, including but not limited to;
- Joiner and leaver account management
- GDPR investigations
- Quarterly internal auditing
- A variety of security initiatives
- Work closely with project leads, or own and lead the design, planning and deployment of key end user computing projects.
- Provide technical support to our Club and AELTC events, some of which will be outside of core business hours.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with all IT department peers and third parties to provide incident support and assessment through to resolution.
What part your role will play in The Championships
- Liaise with a variety of stakeholders across The Championships departments to ensure the computer and technology deployment and decommissioning plan is up to date and relevant before each Championships. This includes identifying new locations and equipment needed.
- Learn and become a subject matter expert on a variety of Championships specific services, which can evolve and change each year.
- Provide Service Desk support for the wider community when not otherwise engaged in specific predefined tasks.
- Document all new processes undertaken and any existing processes which have no documentation or knowledge base articles already defined.
- Build a daily check list of services to check by 0800hrs each day of The Championships to ensure each assigned business area is in a state of readiness for each Championship day.
- Review post-Championships feedback of the computer platform and work with the Technology Services Manager and Service Desk Team Leader to implement improvements.
About you
- You will have contemporary and practical experience in providing technical design and support for:
- The full suite of Microsoft systems including Windows, Office, PowerShell, Group Policy Editor, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams, Defender, OneNote, Forms, Power Tools and EndPoint InTune.
- BYOD concepts and designs
- Application packaging concepts and designs
- AntiVirus and intrusion detection systems
- Wired and wireless print management solutions
- A detailed and demonstrable understanding of how Office 365 licencing works, including the different licence options and what you get with them.
- Practical experience supporting a variety of hardware types including Apple and Lenovo laptops and desktops, Apple iPhones and iPads. in Mac iOS, printers and scanners.
- A detailed and demonstrable working knowledge of networking protocols and routing, including the OSI model, TCP, IP, FTP, SSL, HTTPs and SMTP.
- Strong inter-personal skills, including the ability to listen, influence and communicate with various audiences providing an exemplary customer experience.
- Excellent organisational skills with proven ability to work under pressure and to agreed SLAs.

Our food & drink, retail and marketing systems continue throughout the year, together with systems to support the Wimbledon Museum & Tour, our Community Sports facilities in Raynes Park & Roehampton, and the management of the Members' club.
