Job description

We are looking for someone to support the day-to-day management of the Community Sports Centre in Roehampton. 

What you will be doing

Community Sports Centre, Roehampton

  • You’ll be supporting the day-to-day management of the Community Sports Centre, Roehampton
  • Line manage the Duty Manager team at the Community Sports Centre, Roehampton
  • Interface between year-round operations of the Community Sports Centre, Roehampton, and the Qualifying Event
  • Ensure business continuity and year-round sport whilst facility improvements and projects take place
  • Managing the events calendar and booking sheet for the site
  • Reporting and reconciling on income, membership, and site footfall
  • Tracking usage and optimising opportunities to increase participation at the Centre
  • Managing the invoicing process and assisting finance in bringing in income
  • Support and contribute to the strategic evolution of the Community Sports Footprint
  • Assisting with development of wider AELTC Community Sport Website architecture
  • Webpage development and content
  • Further developing Clubspark relationship
  • Updating and refreshing the website
  • Support the creation and development of a Wandsworth strand of the WJTI
  • Link closely with General Manager and Community Head coach to evolve the usage of tennis facilities in line with agreed strategic approach
  • Support the integration of tennis programmes and maintain strong collaboration and communication with key internal stakeholders
  • Interface with F&D team should F&D become activated. Provide F&D team with Centre calendar of activities and footfall

Sustainability

  • Support the agreed sustainability strategy and be the Sustainability Champion for AELTC Community Sports Centre Roehampton

Other Information

  • Maintain health, safety and security in the workplace and comply with all company procedures and guidelines, including manual handling procedures
  • Understanding and awareness of the AELTC Child Protection Policy and Guidelines
  • You’ll provide support on specific projects that require administration support including other duties within the scope of the role as may be required

What part your role will play in The Championships

  • You’ll support the delivery and management requirements in the period prior to and during The Championships, when the AELTC Community Sports Centre, Roehampton hosts the qualifying event for The Championships and other events.

About you

  • You’ll have experience of working within an existing leisure type facility catering for a wide cross section of customers
  • Excellent interpersonal, networking and influencing skills; able to build and maintain good working relationships with a wide range of people
  • Strong organisational, project management and analytical skills with strong attention to detail
  • Strong IT skills: MS Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Experience in the use of Membership Management software packages eg Clubspark
  • You’ll have experience of working in a ‘committee led’ organisation with a positive, flexible, solution orientated approach
  • Knowledge of tennis with a passion/love for the game
  • You will be required to work according to a rota including weekdays, evenings and weekends.
