AELTC Community Tennis Centre

Raynes Park

The All England Lawn Tennis Club Community Tennis Centre is located in Raynes Park, South West London.

The AELTC acquired the 22 acre site in 1990. Over the years the site has been used to support The Championships for player practice through the provision of six grass courts. It has also been used by local schools for athletics, football and cricket.

In 2016 the Club redeveloped the grounds, constructing six acrylic courts, three of which were covered by an inflatable airdome.

In June 2016 the new facilities were opened by AELTC Chariman, Philip Brook, Sir Andy Murray, Jamie Murray OBE, Tim Henman OBE and Jordanne Whiley MBE.

In 2019 a second phase of development began, with the addition of a further three indoor acrylic courts in a second airdome, sixteen Championship grass courts, a maintenance building for the Grounds team and equipment and an additional entrance on Cannon Hill Lane to be used for deliveries and staff access.

The final phase of the development works commenced in November 2022 and completed in 2023. It includes a two-storey Clubhouse, encompassing our reception and office areas, changing facilities with showers, a cafe and catering facilities, a multi-purpose studio and a viewing balcony overlooking the grass courts. There is also a new entrance, extended car park and a junior tennis play area, alongside several ancillary buildings and seating beside the outside courts.

There are now 3 outdoor hard courts, 6 indoor courts, 16 grass courts, a 100m sprint track, football pitches and a multi-functional studio space which can flexibly accommodate fitness classes, community events or meetings.
